Impromptu IV

‘Relief he had hoped would flow from unfamiliarity. Unfamiliar room. Unfamiliar scene. Out to where
nothing ever shared. Back to where nothing ever shared. […] In his dreams he had been warned against this change. Seen the dear face and heard the unspoken words, Stay where we were so long alone together, my
shade will comfort you.’ Samuel Beckett, Ohio Impromptu

An aesthetic exercise on light and sound. A measure of time, of space, of darkness. A self luminous universe. A perpetual exhaustion and a perpetual progression. When does time stop to matter?

Presented at the group exhibition “Die Warteräume” at St.Thomas Cemetery Chapel, as part of CTM Festival, 31st January – 3rd February 2019.
